Description
Twelve years ago, Cornishman Brian Stanleick and his wife opened their first Oggy Oggy Pasty Shop in St Ives, Cornwall. Today, this business is the fastest growing Pasty operation in the UK. In partnership with Crantock Bakery, the two have created a nationwide Franchise business.

The first three Franchisees have opened second shops, and at the end of 2005 there are 30 Oggy Oggy Pasty Shops. With a further 25 – 30 planned for 2006, and will soon become a household name.

The Cornish Oggy Oggy Pasty Shop is based upon a traditional and simple operation. All of the Award Winning Pasties are made at the bakery near Newquay in Cormwall. The pasties are filled with a variety of fillings and then hand crimped, before being frozen and delivered to stores. The Franchisees simply bake off the product and serve to their customers, providing an excellent, value for money, hot food on the go meal. With a range of formats, many Oggy Oggy Pasty Shops also incorporate a coffee shop seating area and here waitress service also enhances the customer experience and provides a welcome break from the office or for weary shoppers or tourists.

With our training stores in Devon and Cornwall our training team will ensure that you are fully trained in all aspects of running your own store. Training will normally be for a week at the training store and then you will also be given the opportunity to have a couple of days with a franchisee to gain their insights and experience in running a franchised business.

At the opening we will have our Operations Support Manager there to help you in the training of your staff and ensure a successful opening. This would normally last for the first week of operation.

We will provide ongoing support and training as required from our support team.

We look for franchisees who share our core values and are looking to own a business in which they can be ‘entrepreneurial’ working within our tried and tested business model. This is an ideal business for a franchisee and their partner to manage and operate themselves.

We have franchisees from a variety of backgrounds, however, an ability to motivate staff and offer exemplary service to customers as well as a ‘hands on’ involvement in the business is critical. Many of our franchisees have the desire to open multiple locations and to grow their business accordingly.

We have a stringent selection process to ensure that this is the right opportunity for both parties, recognising that this is a long term relationship.
