If you are a lover of animals, are highly motivated and believe your business future could be within the Barking Mad franchise, the next step is to arrange to come and see us to find out more about the operation, meet the team, and most importantly, get answers to all your questions.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to speak to existing franchisees, as part of their decision making process. We fully appreciate that you need to make an informed choice.

We provide a five-day training programme at Head Office, where our unique Barking Mad systems and procedures are explained. The bespoke training programme has been designed to address all aspects of the business dealing with office systems and procedures, day to day operations, sales and marketing, accounts and pet behaviour.

You will have the opportunity to work with existing franchisee’s where you will meet customers, interview host families and actively participate in pet collections and deliveries.

We arrange advertising in your local area during the first 8 weeks of trading. Advertising is also placed in the yellow pages, and we pay for year one.

Once training is complete, you return to your own area with a local sales and marketing activity plan detailing activities you will carry out which aim to get you know quickly.

Once you have had chance to settle in and become accustomed to running your own business, we come along to work with you in your own territory. During this time we will contact the local media with your Barking Mad story, including newspapers, radio and TV stations.

As a Barking Mad franchisee, you will have access to our on-line franchise forum, receive regular weekly correspondence from HQ, and attend regional meetings and training seminars. The prestigious Barking Mad Annual National Conference is held in the Lake District in May each year. Partners are invited to attend this weekend packed full of fun, team building activities, business updates, and of course an excellent selection of food and wine. The event is an integral part of our business development programme, where franchisees and their partners share experiences and ideas in a luxurious 4 star environment.
